When did your infatuation with beauty begin?
"Beauty has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. My mother had a passion for makeup, especially lipsticks and fragrances. Together with my fraternal twin sister, we would play dress-up in her wardrobe, experiment with her cosmetics, and indulge in our imaginations. While my sister is now pursuing a career in medicine, our shared childhood experiences in beauty have influenced me deeply.
What started as innocent fun eventually transformed into a lasting obsession, especially with the explosion of beauty influencers on platforms like YouTube around 2015 and 2016. Each trip to the drugstore was a mini-adventure, where I would buy various products to try my hand at extravagant makeup looks—sometimes just for the joy of it! After experiencing some creative burnout, I rediscovered my love for beauty about two years ago. It’s been an on-again, off-again relationship that has ultimately nurtured my artistic spirit."
What has it been like to witness such swift growth in your profile and community?
"The growth has been impressively rapid, but it feels organic rather than forced. I didn’t set out to become a full-time content creator; it unfolded naturally, which adds to the excitement. This organic development has made the experience feel manageable rather than overwhelming, and I'm incredibly excited to witness my community flourish. I’m thankful for my vibrant online family!"
How has your perspective on beauty changed throughout your journey?
"Through my writing on Substack, I’ve reflected on how working in the beauty industry compels you to scrutinize your own perception of beauty. Constantly facing the camera while trying out different products brings this awareness front and center. Luckily, I grew up surrounded by women who look like me, which created a strong foundation for my understanding of beauty. Without that foundation, I might have struggled with my self-image in a more significant way. Now, my focus has shifted to ensuring that how my life feels resonates with how it appears to others.
In this industry, it’s easy to slip into an obsession with outward appearance and personal beauty standards. While I create content showcasing products and expressing how beautiful I feel, my priority is ensuring that these feelings extend beyond the brief moments captured on camera."
You've garnered the title of ‘Blush Queen.’ What makes blush such an essential part of your beauty routine?
"Interestingly enough, blush used to intimidate me more than any other makeup product. I found it daunting but chose to embrace it to build my confidence. Over time, I’ve grown to adore how versatile blush is. Each shade tells its story, and depending on the tone and quantity used, it can transform your entire look. Short-form content works beautifully here, as blush delivers instant impact, showcasing dramatic changes right away. That’s part of why I fell for it!"
How do you decide on your blush shade each day?
"Choosing my blush shade is largely influenced by my mood—similar to how I select my outfits. I consider what I’m wearing, how I feel, and the aspects I wish to accentuate. With so many blush shades in my collection, there’s a delightful daily challenge in selecting just one to use!"
Do you apply blush anywhere besides your cheeks?
"Absolutely! I enjoy layering blush over bronzer, applying it to my eyelids, and even dabbing a bit on my forehead for a monochromatic effect. Some people even use it on their lips. The beauty of blush lies in its adaptability, and experimenting is key!"
When do you feel the most beautiful?
"There are specific moments when I feel beautiful. One is during quiet reflection at home when I’m away from the cameras and simply engaged in self-awareness. The second occurs while I’m creating. Looking back at a video or post I produced makes me feel a sense of beauty, as it embodies my thought process and creativity."
What does your everyday makeup routine look like, and how do you transition from day to night?
"During the day, I lean toward a soft glam approach. I’ve learned that layering products offers a more natural finish and is easier to build upon. For evening looks, I typically add more pressed powder, extra blush, and a bit more mascara. Sometimes, I incorporate a gentle eyeliner smudged for a softer look, then finish with lip liner and a gloss for seamless transitioning from day to night!"

"I adore lip stains due to their staying power and vibrant finish. Lately, I’ve been impressed with the Huda Beauty Lip Stain and the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. "The journey to achieving a glowing complexion begins with skincare. Maintaining hydration and recovery is crucial; a well-prepared base ensures the glow you achieve. Toners hold an essential place in my routine—I use them consistently. When it comes to makeup, balance is everything. Finding the right mix of creams, liquids, and powders is vital; too much of one can disrupt the glow you’re striving for. After learning that overuse of glowing primers can backfire, I now prefer soft matte primers, adding glow through creams instead."
